How to Maximize Time to help reach your goals
Be a BLVR

Time is one of our most valuable assets, and we must maximize our time and make the most of every moment to lift others and grow our organization and the industry. It takes commitment, and we have to prioritize what matters most and consider how we will spend it best– Collaboration? Connection? Self Improvement? And we must continue to build and strengthen this skill set by regimenting our processes and approaches to work and life until it becomes a strong habit.

In discussion with our executive leadership, our employees were curious about the kind of daily approaches we take to maximize time and meet our goals. Because radical transparency is important to our culture at EPM, and there really is no such thing as the “secret sauce” when it comes to achievement and success, it’s essential to share these ideas and spread the word to anybody interested in improving their approach and getting even 1% better at what they do.

In no particular order, here was our executive team’s feedback about how they choose to maximize their time.

• Prepare ahead of time.
We owe it to ourselves and others to come prepared. Take the time before your day starts to plan your day and prioritize your tasks. This helps you stay organized and focused and saves time in the long run. It increases our ability to be mindful and present throughout our day and keeps us focused on the people and tasks in front of us.

• Implement a daily regimen.
Establish a daily routine that works for you and stick to it. This helps you stay focused and on track and helps you make the most of your time so that you inch closer to your set goals every day.

• Invest in self-improvement
Take the time to develop new skills, learn about new technologies, and stay current on industry trends. This helps us stay competitive, and it also helps bring new ideas and approaches to your role with the organization.

• Communicate effectively
Good communication is key to effective leadership, and it maximizes the use of our time so there is less confusion, less dissatisfaction, and more direct and clear expectations and solutions. Take the time to listen to your team, respond to their concerns, and provide clear instructions and feedback.

• Prioritize teamwork
Encourage teamwork and collaboration within your organization. This helps everybody achieve goals more efficiently and fosters a positive work environment and healthy communication.

• Maximize efficiency
Use technology to streamline your processes and automate repetitive tasks. This is an ever-evolving, imperfect approach, but worth the commitment to pull ahead. It’s important to stay organized to be better prepared to switch from one task to another productively.

• Focus on Your Needs
It’s common to become consumed by work, especially when we love what we do. But taking regular breaks and focusing on our needs is essential to our well-being and overall effectiveness. It’s okay to take the time you need to recharge your batteries, reflect, and gain a fresh perspective.

Maximizing our time comes down to preparation, regimentation, and a commitment to self-improvement. Prioritizing the time it takes to plan your day, implement a daily routine, invest in self-improvement, prioritize teamwork, be efficient, stay organized, and take breaks to stay focused and motivated helps us make the most of every moment. As always, it helps us lift others and Empower People More!
